John Delaney, Managing Director
The Team Leasing team is led by Managing Director John Delaney, who has worked in the finance industry for over seventeen years. During that time he has been responsible for hundreds of millions of dollars of leasing and rental deals.
John was a founding director of The Leasing Centre and from there was asked to join Multilease (later known as RentWorks). His business building skills were put to good use when he was one of the two people sent to South Africa to start RentWorks there. Five years later with four offices and one hundred staff it was time to hand over to local management. John then moved to New Zealand to take the reins of the RentWorks business there where he was responsible for record growth and profitability.
Lasting success
John initiated vendor finance programmes with Compaq and Dell in South Africa which are still being run successfully today. In Australia, he was responsible for the national management of banking and vendor partnerships including Westpac, St George and Toshiba. With the changes to global credit markets, John saw the opportunity to form Team Leasing.
John’s unique experience and knowledge across multiple markets and countries give him the ability to structure leasing and rental solutions for customers and equipment vendors that create measurable value over time.
